HC rolling mill: a high-performance rolling mill with controllable roll profile. It is equivalent to adding a pair of axially movable intermediate rolls between the work roll and the supporting roll of a four-high mill, and adjust the corresponding ends of the two intermediate rolls to the positions corresponding to the two edges of the strip to improve The pressure distribution and the uniformity of the elastic flattening of the work rolls ensure the dimensional accuracy of the strip steel and reduce defects such as ultra-thinness and cracking of its edges. The cold drawing machine of HC rolling mill is suitable for cold rolling wide strip steel.
Eight-high rolling mill: It is a variant of the four-high rolling mill. The diameter of the work roll is 1/6 of that of the backup roll, and the relative offset is made to prevent the horizontal bending of the work roll. The rolling force is half smaller than that of a four-high rolling mill. The work roll has good stability and high horizontal rigidity, and can be used to roll some products that must be rolled by a 20-high rolling mill. Its structure and adjustment are much simpler than that of a twenty-high rolling mill. This kind of rolling mill can be converted into several types of two, four, eight, and sixteen rolls, which is suitable for the needs of multiple varieties, so it is also called a multi-purpose rolling mill. It has two types: reversible and continuous rolling, and is used for cold-rolling hard-to-deform steel, silicon steel and non-ferrous metal strips.
Six-high rolling mill: It consists of a pair of work rolls and two pairs of support rolls, with a relatively stable roll system. However, its rigidity is similar to that of a four-high rolling mill, and its operation is inconvenient, so it is not widely used. Six-high rolling mills and special-shaped straightening mills are generally used for rolling high-precision copper strips for submarine cables.
Multi-roll mill: There are three types of twelve-roller, twenty-roller and thirty-six-roller. The pair of rolls with the smallest diameter in the middle of the rolling mill are work rolls, and the rest are backup rolls. It has the advantages of high relative rigidity, large reduction, small rolling force, and extremely thin strips. The early multi-roll mills were driven by work rolls, and later by intermediate backup rolls.
